Hidden Valley is a four seasons resort and homeowner community located approximately 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is nestled in the beautiful Laurel Highlands in Somerset County, surrounded by 25,000 acres of State forests and parklands offering a serene natural setting just perfect for relaxing with family and friends.
Hidden Valley Foundation (HVF) is a non-profit corporation established in 1984 to provide maintenance and recreational services associated with the operation of the Hidden Valley homeowner community. It is a master homeowners’ association, also managing four condominium associations, all located within the Hidden Valley Resort. The property totals approximately 1,700 acres with single-family homes, townhouses and condominium units throughout.
In addition to these natural surroundings, there are a wide variety of recreational amenities available. Hidden Valley Foundation operates both the South Ridge and Highlands Center heated outdoor pools. The Highlands Center area also includes two tennis courts. There are two recreation areas, one located at the South Ridge Center and one located at Eagles Ridge.
The Hidden Valley Resort, L.P. (www.myhiddenvalleyresort.com) offers a wide variety of recreational amenities including swimming pools, tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course, a sports club, restaurant and lounges, and a conference center. They also offer a ski resort facility that includes 25 slopes, 8 lifts, and quality ski instruction. Many hours can spent on the cross-country and biking/hiking trails located throughout the Resort and the adjacent state parks.
Hidden Valley Foundation has a full-time office and maintenance staff to administer its programs and maintain the common property. Hidden Valley Foundation provides services within the framework of the annually adopted budget; each of its more than 1,100 members is charged an annual assessment based on the type of ownership. Services provided by Hidden Valley Foundation include grass cutting and landscaping of the common areas, snow removal, security patrol, trash removal, post lamp maintenance and electric, street, parking lot and curb maintenance, various recreational services, and miscellaneous maintenance and administrative services. Hidden Valley Foundation is also responsible for the enforcement of architectural controls and restrictive covenants, in an effort to preserve the integrity of the community.
